The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards guide teacher candidates in their knowledge of technology use within the classroom.
The Hope College Education Department uses an ISTE Portfolio within Chalk & Wire to track each teacher candidate's progress in meeting the ISTE Standards. This portfolio is used for accreditation and certification purposes as well as individual assessments and grades. Click on the links below to read the ISTE Standards for yourself. |
ISTE Rubric
Members of the Tech Team review ISTE assignments using the rubric below. If students do not receive a proficient mark in each of the categories, they have the opportunity to review the comments made by the grader and resubmit assignments until they proficient marks are received. To move forward in the education sequence, proficient marks are required on all ISTE assignments.
